The IceTag3D system is an advanced and robust livestock activity monitoring solution for use by animal scientists.

The system consists of the IceTag3D activity monitoring device, the IceReader wireless download station and IceTagAnalyser software.

IceTag3D activity sensors use accelerometer technology to capture motion in three dimensions with a 16 Hz capture rate. Data is downloaded wirelessly from the IceTag3D using the IceReader.

The IceReader connects to a PC using a USB connection and allows simple and convenient download of data.

IceTagAnalyser software interprets the significant quantities of motion data and provides both tabular and graphical output of standing, lying, step count and Motion Index™. The data can be viewed at second-by-second level, or can be summarised by minute, hour or day. It is easily exported to specialist statistical analysis software .
